We had a great time at the Veteran's Day program up at Piute, where we put on a play called, "What is a Veteran?" We really enjoy the opportunity to visit our friends and the staff at Piute Mountain.

This year, we are also introducing "Flat Stanley" to Caliente School and students. Stanley came to us from a 5th grade class at Morningside Elementary School in Delano. We sent them a Flat Stanley also, so we can get to know them too. We take him with us whenever we go somewhere, take pictures, and send them to Morningside.

We are reading and building up points in Accelerated Reading. Our new math books are challenging, but we are learning a lot. Multiplication and fractions are the areas we are currently working on.

We may be small, but we are enjoying our little year. Yeah, Caliente!
