WebQuests

Hello

My name is Jan Parrott and I teach K- 8th grade at the Caliente School in Caliente.
As a Masters Degree Student at California State University Bakersfield in the field of Curriculum and Instruction in technology, I focused my masters project on Integrating technlogy into the classroom through the use of WebQuests. Click on this link to read my paper on How WebQuests fit into Today's Curriculum and Instruction.

I am developing this webpage to use as a source that can be used for professional development and technology integration in the classroom.

I would like to help teachers use and develop their own WebQuest.

What is a WebQuest??

A webquest is an inquiry based model of instruction that uses the internet to guide students through a cooperative, project based learning experience

Are you looking for a WebQuest that will meet one or more of the California State Standards?

You must become familiar with the standards for your grade level and do a search for a WebQuest that will meet your needs. I am currently working on a chart that will list WebQuests that are currently online and meet one or more of the California State content standards. To help you with your search you can reach the State Standards Website by clicking on this link http://www.cde.ca.gov/be/st/ss/index.asp

If you have found or have created a WebQuest that will meet any California State Content Standard and would like it added to my chart please contact me and I will consider adding it.

This WebQuests Correlation Chart can help you find a WebQuest that may help your students meet California state Standards.
